Wrapping Up Christmas

Hello everyone,

Another year is almost over and
I will soon be taking down all the Christmas
decorations.

I have taken down the tree in the

kitchen which is early for me but

I enjoy having tea with my husband

or a friend in this bay window area

and the tree while pretty blocked the

view so down it came.You can see

the before and after above.

I love seeing the snow laden trees

out the window.

Our Christmas tables

After removing the tree
it was time for tea.

This shot was taken today to record
our snowfall. I think everyone here
is happy with this amount but hoping we
don't get anywhere near as much as we
did in our record breaking winter last year!

before the New Year.

A Boxing Day Tea

Hello again,

Well, Christmas Day has come and gone for
another year but hopefully we are still
enjoying the feelings of love and good
cheer along with maybe a little time to
relax and enjoy the rest of the holiday
season.

A little time by the fireside

with a cup of tea and some

leftover Christmas treats is

a nice Boxing Day treat.

A comfy chaise pulled up
by the fireside is a perfect spot
to relax.

The transferware platter with sweet
treats and the teacup are both Mason
Vista made in England.

Christmas Day was sunny and unusually warm
for us here but last night it started to snow and
was Christmas card perfect with trees and lights
covered in a blanket of snow.

I hope you are enjoying a little
relaxation today.

Merry Christmas!

I wanted to pop in to wish

you all a very Merry Christmas.

I set the tables today for our

big family Christmas dinner at our

house tomorrow so I made

a few small bouquets for the

table.

Christmas English Afternoon Tea

Hello everyone,

I prepared a cozy English
Afternoon Tea for you to
enjoy in our library.

Biscuits,sugar cookies,haystacks
and sticky date pudding for you.

Tea with the glow of twinkling
lights on the Christmas tree.

I love this teapot with the
English cottage on it.

The curtains and the tablecloth
look like English chintz.

The tree and the fireplace add
a cozy Englisg charm for me.

I hope you have some time to enjoy a
cozy English Afternoon Tea by the fire
today!

Today is Winter Solstice and it is
beautiful winter day here on the Island.

We woke up to a beautiful cover of
soft fluffy white snow covering our
little corner of the world. I took shots
this morning......I am hoping it will last
until Christmas but mild temps and rain
are in the forecast.

We had a busy but fun weekend and

homes all decorated for Christmas and

even treats at each home.....looking forward

to it.!

Boathouse Fluffing

Happy Weekend,

I hope you are enjoying the hustle

and bustle of this last weekend before

Christmas.

I did a little more fluffing in the

boathouse a couple of days ago.

I am happy with the warm and cozy

look it has this year.

We are having a family party at our house
tomorrow so the house needed some fluffing
today as well as some food prep. It is always fun
to see the excitement in the little ones as they
exchange a little gift to open at the party.
