Garden Views

             Hello everyone,

                                                                I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.
                                                                It was a nice weekend here and I took
                                                               some photos of the garden to
                                                               record the progress it has made as
                                                              every day I see changes.

                                                              So come along and see for yourself!

                                                             The Canadian Preston lilac Miss Canada on
                                                             the right with Siberian Iris and early peony.
                                                             In the far background is another Miss Canada
                                                             and A Miss Kim Korean Lilac.

                                                                    On the wild side ~ sweet rocket reseeds freely
                                                                    but here behind the boathouse fence that is a
                                                                    good thing.

Early Summer Garden Tour

                                                                           

    Hello everyone,

                                                       The sun is shining here today so it
                                                       is a good time to tour the garden.

        The Miss Canada lilac(left) is in

 bloom now and the french 

    lilacs are pretty much passed.

                                                                     It is lupine season on the
                                                                     Island now so you will see
                                                                    them growing wild in the ditches
                                                                    as you drive along the roads.

                                                                    Early morning shot. The Korean
                                                                    lilacs are also in bloom .....they
                                                                    have such a lovely fragrance.

                                                                  We planted some lupines around the pond
                                                                  a few years ago so they are establishing nicely.

                                                       The garden is changing daily and soon
                                                                 I will have aprox. 100 peonies in bloom
                                                                so I will be taking lots of photos then!

Touches of Aqua

                                                                      Hello everyone,

                                                               I hope your week is going well.
                                                               While I am waiting for the showers
                                                               to end I gathered some touches of aqua from
                                                               my files.....hope you haven't all seen
                                                               these before.
                                                               These shots were taken in the garden
                                                               a few years ago. I was noticing that our
                                                               garden is a couple of weeks behind at
                                                               the same time in 2013 or the last couple
                                                               of years for that matter.Our temps. are
                                                               staying cooler than normal so far this
                                                               year.
                                                             

                                                                 

                                                                        I love aqua dishes and have
                                                                        collected a few news ones so
                                                                        some sunny day I will do a
                                                                        tablescape with them.

                                                                     pitcher a soft aqua.

                                            I love the aqua sailboat that I
                                                       bought a few years ago at Wicker
                                                       Emporium.

Garden Mosaics

                                                                          Hello everyone,

                                                     It is a wet day here today so the garden is
                                                     lush and green.

                                                                We seem to have lots of blues in the
                                                                garden right now. The lupines and iris
                                                                are blooming along with the early peonies.

                                                               Did any of you notice that I started to stain
                                                               the arbor and fence a showy blue/green color?

                                                              Breaded iris, yellow bird magnolia and
                                                              alliums are putting on a show.

                                                              This was last weeks blooms.

                                                                    The french lilacs are still blooming but
                                                                    many of them are past their prime.
                                                                   The Korean and Canadian lilacs are starting
                                                                   to bloom now.

                                             My mosaic of lilacs from last week.....I
                                                        will be enjoying these photos all winter.
