Romantic Whites

  Hello everyone,
The sun is shining the wind is blowing and the trees are laden with snow-definitely a winter day here on the Island but it is only February and spring is a little ways off for us yet. I think I mentioned that I had fun playing with my camera yesterday so these are a few of the shots that I took.

What could be more romantic then candles, roses and pearls?

I love the soft romantic look of these photos- I hope you enjoyed them too!

I am joining Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday if you like white you must visit her.

Sandi at My Shabby Streamside Studio is also hosting a special White Valentine  party that I am happy to join in. I am sure most of you already know Sandi as she has the most romantic little studio and has even been on the Nate show and featured in many books and magazines -so please check it out too!

Enjoy your day!

A Romantic Tea

Hello everyone,
Welcome to my romantic afternoon tea. I gathered up some pretty pinks for our afternoon tea because pink is such a romantic color and we are getting close to Valentines's Day.
Layers of pink.
A pink handbag with the daintiest sheer gloves and scarf. I love cameo pins too.

The palest pink teacup.
Some of you may remember the heart shaped plate and matching teapot that my husband surprised me with one Valentine's Day a few years ago. Like I always say - he is a keeper! Heart shaped sugar cookies sprinkled with pink sugar.

This pretty teacup was a gift from a friend- I love it too!

So dainty!
My yardsale dishes- love them too!

The quilt on the table was a gift from my daughter.

The matching teapot for the heart shaped plate.

Well, you do look pretty in pink and thank you for joining my romantic tea. If you come back tomorrow I have some romantic creamy whites for you. It was another snowy day here and I spent some time playing with my camera.

It is Tea Time Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage so go and check out other lovely tea parties . Thank you Sandi for hosting.
I am also joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Thank you Susan for hosting this lovely party.
Take care,
Carolyn

Feeling Blue

Hello everyone,
How was your weekend? We had a storm today that gave us about 25 cm of new snow. Now I am thinking we have enough already but the forecast is for more on Tuesday.
Since it was a storm day(our church was cancelled) and I was indoors for all but my daily walk,  I continued to play on Picasa(  obsessed, maybe) and I made more of the square matted photos to share.

These are photos I took in the last couple of years and look nothing like the white world around me today.
Let me think how long is it before I can go on a summer picnic again? Oh,never mind it is too far to count!

These photos were all taken a few miles from our home on a beautiful July day!

A beautiful blue bearded iris with raindrops.
My peonies in a blue vase.

Now, I hope I haven't left you feeling blue and don't worry I will soon be over my obsession and will have moved on to another one!

Take care,

Carolyn

I hope you have a minute to go and check it out. They are working on the gardens next and I look forward to seeing what they do- wish I was there to dig in the dirt too!
Once again I am joining in for Show off Saturday at http://maleviksrosentradgard.blogspot.com/-there is lots of beauty there and a great place to find lovely new blogs.

A Treasured Gift

 Hello everyone,
I have some beautiful new treasures to share with you today. These treasures arrived in the mail a couple of weeks ago and they are from Wanda a very kind fellow blogger from Regina, Saskatchewan.
I remember when Wanda showed this beautiful little covered soap dish on her blog and I fell in love with it! I never would have dreamt that someone I never met would know how much I would love it and send it to me.
Now the little covered dish was not the only treasure that Wanda sent to me- this beautiful matching mug came with it.
and there was also the lace and linens you see here.
And I also loved the old postcards that she sent as well.

A pretty hand embroidered tea cozy came with it.

I think they look perfect in this green toile bedroom.

Now some of you probably already know Wanda but if you don't please go and have a visit with her at her lovely blog Victorian 1885 and say hello. Thank you so much Wanda for these lovely treasures you truly made my day!
I am joining Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home again today where once again there is always lots to see!
Thank you to all who visit me as well,

Carolyn
